OUR CLINIC WILL BE CLOSED ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2026
 

The Cody Clinic will be closed on Wednesday, September 30th in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 
 

This is a day to remember and honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, to recognize the experiences and ongoing strength of Survivors and their families, and to reflect on the lasting impacts of Canada's residential school system. For generations First Nations, Inuit, and Metis children were forcibly separated from their families and communities and sent to residential schools. These schools sought to suppress Indigenous languages, cultures, identities and traditions, and many children experienced profound neglect and abuse. The effects of this history continue to be felt by Indigenous Peoples, families, and communities today. 

For us, September 30th if an opportunity to listen, learn, remember, and reflect.

September 30 is also Orange Shirt Day, an Indigenous-led movement founded by residential school Survivor Phyllis Webstad. Phyllis has shared the story of arriving at residential school as a six-year-old wearing a new orange shirt that her grandmother had bought for her. The shirt was taken from her when she arrived. Her experience of having her new orange shirt taken from her became a powerful symbol for the loss of identity, culture, freedom and belonging experienced by Indigenous children.

Truth and reconciliation is not something that happens on only one day each year. We hope September 30th can be an opportunity to pause, listen to Indigenous voices, learn more about Canada's history, and consider what reconciliation can look like in our own communities. 

We remember. We listen. We learn. We move forward together.

If you require medical care while we are closed, please call Health Link at 811 and let them know who your family physician is; they will book you into our After Hours Clinic or suggest more timely care if needed. For more urgent or emergent concerns, please visit your nearest Urgent Care Centre or Emergency Department, or call 911 as usual.

A WARM WELCOME TO DR. MONICA SARGIOUS

We are very excited to share that Dr. Monica Sargious will be joining The Cody Clinic beginning June 24, 2026!

At The Cody Clinic, we care deeply about building a team that not only provides excellent medical care, but also values the art of medicine alongside the science - ensuring patients feel genuinely heard, supported, and cared for. We are so pleased to be welcoming Dr. Sargious into that shared philosophy of care.​

Her patients will be able to begin booking appointments with our clinic starting in June. Many helpful details about our clinic can already be found throughout our website, but if there are any lingering questions our staff are always happy to help by phone!

We truly look forward to the experience, perspective, and compassion Dr. Sargious will bring to our clinic, and we're excited to get to know her and her patients in the months ahead!

To help us better serve all of our patients, we have implemented a formal no-show policy. To help us stay on schedule and give every patient the time they deserve, missed appointments or late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) may now be subject to a fee. We get that things come up - just let us know as soon as you can. It helps us help everyone a little better!

PRESCRIPTION REFILLS

Appointments are now required for all prescription refills. Why? Because your health deserves more than a quick click or guesswork. Regular follow-up ensures your medications are still the right fit and any side effects aren't sneaking in under the radar. We're here to keep you feeling your best - and that starts with staying connected. ​​
