FAMILY DAY CLOSURE

Just a quick reminder that our clinic will be closed on Monday, February 16th to celebrate Family Day and give our team some well-deserved time with their loved ones.

We're incredibly lucky to spend our days caring for such an amazing group of people - you really do feel like one big extended Cody Clinic family to us!  Thank you for trusting us with your care and for helping to make our clinic such a warm and welcoming place! 

We'll be back to our regular hours on Tuesday, February 17th.

If you need medical assistance while we are closed you can call 811 for health advice or visit your nearest urgent care center or emergency department if needed.

HEADS UP,  DR. RICKY'S PATIENTS! 

Dr. Ricky will be away from the clinic from March 19th to April 7th, 2026. Don't worry - our clinic will still be open, and our friendly team will be here to help you with anything you need while he's away. 

Here's how to plan ahead:

• If you need a routine appointment, we recommend booking either before Dr. Ricky leaves or after he returns. 

• If something urgent comes up during his time away, give our office a call and we'll help make sure you get the care you need.

• For concerns outside of regular clinic hours you can contact the After Hours Clinic by calling 811 and letting them know the name of your family physician. They can provide advice or book you into their clinic dependent on your needs.

• If you're experiencing a medical emergency, please go to the nearest emergency department or call 911 right away as usual.

FALL 2025 FLU & COVID-19 VACCINES: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Alberta Health has introduced a new process for receiving seasonal vaccines this year. All interested individuals were to pre-order their vaccines by September 30, 2025 to be considered for immunization this fall. Patients eligible for vaccines based on provincial criteria at the time will be contacted at a later date to book their vaccine appointment. To join the pre-order list, please use the official Alberta vaccine pre-order portal or give Health Link a call at 811 for assistance. Eligible patients will eventually be able to book with public health or participating pharmacies via the Alberta Vaccine Booking System (AVBS) or MyChart. Our clinic is unfortunately no longer able to procure seasonal vaccines as part of these recent changes and therefore will be unable to administer the injections ourselves.

In the spirit of making access easier, we're pleased to partner with Revive Pharmacy who will begin offering flu shots October 20, 2025. Appointments can be booked in advance or accessed through walk-in visits. Patients wishing to receive a COVID vaccine at the same time are welcome to do so, though most patients will need to pay out-of-pocket due to current provincial guidelines. ​

NO SHOW POLICY
To help us better serve all of our patients, we have implemented a formal no-show policy. To help us stay on schedule and give every patient the time they deserve, missed appointments or late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) may now be subject to a fee. We get that things come up - just let us know as soon as you can. It helps us help everyone a little better!

Appointments are now required for all prescription refills. Why? Because your health deserves more than a quick click or guesswork. Regular follow-up ensures your medications are still the right fit and any side effects aren't sneaking in under the radar. We're here to keep you feeling your best - and that starts with staying connected. ​​
